Basket Trading

Trade multiple symbols in a batch with a single command. Allocate your buying power based on number of shares or percentage of total buying power. Buy, sell, and short using either market or limit orders. Create and save multiple baskets for later use.

Weight Mode (displayed above)
In "Weight" mode a "Lock" column is displayed which allows you to lock a line-item percent as fixed in auto-calculation - i.e. the percent allocation of that item is not re-adjusted when changing another item. There are two ways to configure a basket in "Weight" mode.

1. Auto On: Allows you to auto-adjust the allocation according to the fixed amount in the "Max BP Commit" field. Adjusting the percentage or the quantity of a line-item also adjusts other line-items accordingly so that the total amount allocated will remain as close as possible to the maximum buying power entered. Changing the "Max BP Commit" (maximum buying power to commit) field adjusts the share quantities accordingly.
   
   
2. Auto Off: The basket will not self-adjust other line-items when the quantity or percent of a line item is changed. Whether in 'auto-mode' or not, the Distribute Weight (Dist Wt.) button will distribute an allocation evenly between line-items. Selecting "Auto Off" and changing the "Max BP Commit" field adjusts the percentages accordingly.
   
   

Shares Mode
Shares mode allows you to adjust the quantity and price for each item in the basket. The relative percentage of each item is still displayed, however the percentage is not adjustable. The total buying power committed (BP committed) is also displayed but is also not adjustable.
